Back at the beginning of March when I was heading down to Florida I decided to take a side trip and visit Cumberland Island National Seashore, which is on the Georgia coast near St. Mary's. The only way to reach the island is via a 45 minute ferry ride from St. Mary's ( Read more... )

This is the drive I have to take every day in order to get into "town". Namely the three light town of Ridgeland. My drive is 15 miles of this, and nothing but this. (Of course there really isn't much in Ridgeland, so it's onto the Interstate and another 15-30 mile drive from there for anything.) You can see why I go just a little bit crazy.

Today was a beautiful day out. Was going to go hiking, but had a difficult time locating the trailhead. It wasn't well marked, and the area I thought might be the trailhead, well the "parking area" was closed off by a locked gate. So I need to call the agency that "maintains" the trail and find out some further information and shall try again ( Read more... )

Yesterday was my quarterly drive to Charleston for my rheumatology appointment. I decided to head up early and took a side trip to Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. Well we are close to an end of the photo backlogs. Actually we are at the end of my photo backlog from my trip to the Pacific Northwest. We have two sets here, one from Ft. Today's photo post includes sets for Mt. Rainier National Park and certain locations within Portland, Oregon. Most notably are the Grotto, the Rose Gardens, and the Chinese Garden.
